The first time I listened to “Orbit”, I thought it’s really a good song. Not only its composing but also the arranging attracted me so much. I don’t know Korean at all; however, I spent over 3 months learning this song. When I can sing it, the song and I become closer.
This is my first time to learn a complete Korean song. Thanks to my sister, Sherry, for helping me on the pronunciation so that I can catch the sounds better. (Sorry for Korean friends on the language part. I know there are sounds that need to be corrected. Practice makes perfect. I will do it better and better in the future.)
Actually this is OST of “The King : The Eternal Monarch", a Korean Drama in 2020. It can be watched on Netflix and I have to say it’s really a good drama. It’s like 50% 50% good and bad for the after watching comment. Only I can say here is I really love the story and I think the screenwriter is really amazing. It’s a personal feedback of me on it, you can taste it on your own then.

Focus on the song, I love the original singer, Hwa Sa, who is one of Mamamoo, a K-POP group. She has a really charming voice with fantastic singing skills. “Orbit” is definitely a high level song to challenge.

When I read the lyrics, one word came out on my mind – lonely.
People all over the world, we are afraid of loneliness. Even if you don’t admit it, we fear it from deep in the heart.
We are eager to have a companion with us forever even though we know it’s hard to come ture. We still hope there is one day, someone will be with us.

In Asian culture, we like to write some love stories with “Happy Forever” endings. In real life, maybe it’s not easy to always meet happy endings. We place our feelings on the love stories we read and pretend we are the actors or actresses.
We should have more confidence to believe that we can find someone one day to love and to be loved. This is the power I get through listening to this song.

I know life is tough and it punches you all the time. Through the pain the life gives us, we stand more straight. We show people that we deserve to be seen, to be found, to be loved. Please never give up on yourself. You live, the life will become better.
There is someone waiting for you but you just don’t know her/him yet. Faith supports you to move on. One day, the companion will show and accompany you to the beautiful future.
